Calendar Management
Calendar Management is crucial to a Loan Officers Day. Your loan officer will have a specific way they like to time black things, so make sure you have a good understanding of the way they operate.
To access the calendars, you’ll go to the calendar icon in the bottom left of your screen
In the top right corner your first option is Appointment. An appointment is something that just goes on the intended calendar. This is a good tool for time blocking and internal organization.
Your second option will be a meeting. This is an invitation that you can extend to other people. You would use this for Realtor appointments, events, or any meeting that more than one person are/need to be a part of. You can add as many people as you want to a meeting.
You can switch the way you are viewing your calendar using these icons in the middle. This is user preference on how you like to view your information. The “week” option is the most common as you can see your full days for each day of the week at one time.
Granting Access
By gaining access to your LO’s calendar, you will be able to easily see what they’re schedule is and add and send appointments/meetings without having to send them an invitation. You will need to grant yourself access from the LO’s outlook, or have them grant you access. When you are in the calendar view in Outlook, you’ll select “Calendar permissions”
This brings up a box of everyone who has access to the calendar, and at what level of permission. To give someone access, select the “+” icon in the bottom left corner of the pop up.
When you start typing a name, it should automatically populate. Make sure you are assigning this person the correct permissions for the access they need:
- Can view when I’m busy: That person will be able to see when you have appointments, but the calendar will only populate the word “busy”
- Can view Titles and Location: That person will be able to see only the title and location, but not the details of the appointment/meeting
- Can view all details: That person will be able to see all details of the calendar, but cannot add or move anything
- Can edit: That person can add, move, and delete appointments on your calendar
- Delegate: That person can delegate appointments/meetings on your behalf, but can not see if you schedule a private event
- Delegate – can view private events: That person can delegate appointments/meetings on your behalf
